Acrylic on Canvas - 36"x48" - Spring 2003
This is part 1 of a series that I prefer to call 'the elements' of sorts. The motivation behind it was to take a huge canvas and cover it as quickly as possible. I also wanted to make it abstract, something I wasn't very comfortable with before hand. And I wanted to dwelve into a subject matter I've always been kind of queasy about.
Sex.
There are two figures in this painting. They have been reduced to shapes and relatively simplified. I think this painting is more powerful based on its sheer size. It's fairly large, and therefore, to me, it's interesting.

My favorite. Outstanding use of color and shading. Really quite good.

Well having actually studied art, art history, practical art, design art and being in posesion of more than a single brain cell I can tell you I like it.
Of course I'm not a sad sad loser who surfs about sharing his misery so what do I know?

Hey that is really really good.
Oh and is there anything more pitiful than anonymous cowards who won't even put their name to their pathethic little whines?

As an occasional artist (pencil, colored pencil, pen and ink) I'm very, very impressed- great use of color and shading and very deft abstraction of the figures, too. Pay no attention to that anonymous twit.

I don't consider myself an artist, but I am attracted to this painting. Very very good.
Thank You!

Applying the big and somewhat nebulous concepts I learned in art college, I would say that the painting demonstrates that you have a great deal of passion within you. The red and orange superficially speak of fire and warmth, and may well say a lot about your character. However, the shapes of the figures seem to demonstrate a certain feeling of being trapped or held back in some way, or of your personal privacy being invaded. The way that the central couple are surrounded by this group, who seem to be pawing at them with some ferocity, speaks volumes. Perhaps the minions are getting annoying? ;)

I am in no way an art critic but I know I like this piece of work. What's not to like about abstract pr0n?
Seriously, you've got talent, please continue to share it.

I'm actually enthralled with this painting. Partly because you managed to pull off subtle and overt in the same image. Very phreaking good!
It's interesting to think that a young blonde hotty has issues with sex. That is anathema to a 40yo male. We wish that we knew back then what we know now. But we've never had issues with sex ... other than getting enough ;)
I'll refrain from flaming your douchebag troll, as he appears to have left this site and continued his favorite activity of giving himself a "dirty Sanchez"
OK, maybe I flamed your troll just a little bit.
