Self Portrait in the Manner of Egon Schiele

WaterColor, Spring 2003
This is my final assignment in Watercolor, and perhaps my most successful piece out of the class. Take an artist who worked in watercolor, write a report on their work, life and inspiration, and then mimic their work and do your own.
My artist of choice for this project was an artist known as Egon Schiele. If I remember right, I think he was Dutch or German, one of the two. He had a thing for nudes and the human figure, some of his work extremely erotic. And he fascinated me.
He did a lot of self portraits, often time they were of himself nude. So I did a self portrait in his style of myself. And I happen to like how it turned out.
