Jalyss

This is Jalyss, done for Tempestryder in the FurartExchange2 community. She is an unusual character, and not one that i normally do, so it was a bit of a challenge for me, considering she has no nose for one. But I was rather pleased with how she turned out considering.

This was a volunteer project on my part, and then crap hit the fan shortly thereafter, so it took me a bit to get it to her.

Kya and Alopex

These were done in the group Furartexchange2 for Imerald. I was never really happy with either one, but considering the time I had them, November/December 2005, well, no wonder they didn't look so good.

I was particularly frazzled in life at that time.

Kya is a girl that can change into a Dog. This is her dog form.

Alopex is a girl that is also sometimes depicted as a Fox. Her stance is completely out of whack. Doh!

Lougara

Done for the FurartXchange for Luxari.

This image had me so stumped. It's a taur, for one, and its a herm for two. I don't do either usually, though I have had asexual characters in the past.

I couldn't figure it out, but I like what I eventually came up with.

Creature by Wyatt

This was done by the talented Wyatt1048, creator of the Webcomic Dansk Folly.

This is an unusual style that looks like it's a 3d Model or something, but its not, but this is just his style. I find it extremely well done, regardless I asked him about it. This is how he did it in his words.
"The pic was done in Paint Shop Pro8, but the look is probably more to do with my method: I do a line drawing, scan it, and then use layers to colour over the top of it rather than under it. Since all lines ar covered, I can go into more detail on the line drawing, separating the areas that need to be shaded differently but have the same colour - it may take time to cover the black lines, but being able to superimpose them back on top helps a lot."

Creature would like Ice Cream despite not liking the cold all that much.

SGT Bunny Did It

I don't have very many pictures of my fursona, but this is the one time I submitted it into an art exchange and this is what I got in return.

I think this is adorable. Done by MichealLlewr.

Tiku

This was a throw away image I did for Tiku of her Lime Hybrid of the same name. Somehow, I went back and made it work. Tiku did such a wonderful job in the Furartxchange2 community that I felt I needed to do something special for her. I ended up doing three drawings of her character. Which, in my opinion, is a pretty cool character.

Reference sheet for Tiku

Other pics of Tiku that I did.

Completely in colored Pencil. I feel bad that her tail got cut off. My bad.

Tiku Anthro

The pic Tiku did for me is here.

Creature the Fool, the tarot card round at FurartXchange2, done by OceanStorm.

I don't know much about Tarot Cards, but the Fool fits Creature.

Trumble, The Lovers

This was the Tarot card exchange round through Fur Art Exchange. I struggled with this one. I fear that it shows too. I'm not pleased.

I don't even remember who I drew this for. *sighs*

FAX entry of Splash by Blith. . . she looks rather imposing in that lightning.

FAX entry from Corvox of Creature. She got his personality and look down very well. . .

Previous drawing I've done for Corvox

Snow by Tigrr Wildcat

FAX entry of Snow by Tigrr Wildcat.

Snow's looking cute and precocious, as usual. Wonderful depiction of her personality, thought it was adorable. A little artistic liberty taken with her feet, but that's ok. It matches the picture.

Magic by Dimruthien

FAX entry from Dimruthien. Done with colored pencil, she said she took some artistic license with the red, to conserve the black pencil, but I personally think it works for his character. Its another Hybrid picture between Magic's Pre and Post Curse phase. Very well done.

This is a drawing I did previously for Dimruthien.

A little sketch submitted FAX entry via Tyreenya, its Magic!

Creature and Splash by Azure Dragon

FAX entry from Azure Dragon, who I think got the jist of Creature and Splash's relationship down pretty well.

When Splash is having fun, Creature's bored. . .

Snow by Snowghost

Here's an image where I got both the lineart and the finished product! I love seeing the transition between the two usually, which is why I generally include lineart with my drawings.

This was done by Snowghost for FAX, just a cute little picture of Snow looking, well, Cute. How else is she supposed to look?

Magic Diving by Emessis

Done for FAX by Emessis. Its Magic, in flight, diving after. . . something.

This must be in snow vision©.

Magic and Snow by Kittenchan

Magic and Snow, in a moment usually shared between the two of them. Snow pestering Magic, asking him pointless questions, I think he's attempting to run from her.

Let's see how successful he is, eh?

This was done by Kittenchan, for FAX though apparently she had some scanner troubles converting it to digital. It washed out all of the shading. Pity. I would love to see it in life.

Resting Friends, by TearsForAUnicorn

I have to admit, I couldn't resist drawing these two. I know Splash is suppose to have dragon wings, but I couldn't fit them in without covering up other parts of the drawing. I hope you don't mind.

This is what I got from TearsForAUnicorn in the FAX LJ Community. I was the chosen so I put up my description and everyone drew what they could.

I love the sweet simplicity of this. A rare moment shared between these two companions. Usually they are at each other's throats. . . :)

Creature by Sky Wing

"This was mostly an experiment with a free, painterly style, using a brush that has delusions that it is really watercolour. This is not all that great or refined, but I've been trying to get back into the habit of posting something every round, so I hope you like it Risawn! :)"

I recieved this from Sky Wing for her portion of the FurArtXchange LJ Community. I immediately fell in love with it as its a style of art thats never been done before, at least, with Creature.

What can I say, I love all art done for me. But I thought that this was particularly nice.

Swoon by Bubblerat

< "Here is another drawing for this round that i whipped up, this time of Magic and Splash, i dont know if its correct to the comic, but i thought it a good idea at the time!!"

BubbleRat went above and beyond and not just produced one, but Two drawings for the Fur Art Xchange community. She made Splash going gaga over Magic.

While I admit, that likely wouldn't happen in the comic, Splash does feel particularly close to Magic and he does have a certain infatuation with her. So I could imagine him dreaming this up.

I love it anyway :)

Jungle Gym by Tiku

"Seems that despite Magic's death glare, Snow seems intent upon using him as a jungle gym."

FAX entry for Tiku, who, by the way, won the round (see an entry from me of her character in the not to distant future). She did this with Copic Markers, and I'm tempted to get some myself to try out.

I've been in a major art mood lately. . .

Magic by Lachlankersyva

Some character reference type pictures of Magic for FAX done by Lachlankersyva. It looks like one of the mid transformation pics, kind of a hybrid between his pre and post curse phases.

I thought the sketches were friggen' awesome!

Magic and Snow by Bubblerat

"here is my entry for this round, magic and snow galloping along, with magic being battered by questions from snow!!!

"iv been reading the archives, really like this comic risawn!!! i may get round to drawing Splash too, just cos i love drawing horses!!"

This was drawn for me by Bubblerat for the FurartXchange LiveJournal Community. I was chosen for two weeks in the month of July and recieved this in return.

Its Magic, being pestered by endless questions from his petite companion Snow.

DeathFight by Ravyn

*points up*
There you go...pity your poor Splash.

Apparently, Splash has wandered off to the Hellcats' world...
At least she's not fighting the Changed. At least...
I'm sure she'll make it out okay.
I hope.

This was done for FurartXchange Live Journal community, and luck be have it, a good friend of mine got me!

I put up Splash for somebody to draw and she ended up drawing Splash fighting off a bunch of Hellcats. I know I wouldn't want to mess with them. But I'm sure Splash will make it out ok.

Ravyn's homepage is found here.

Crikey Duck!

This was done for FurArtXchange (see side bar) for chosen one Quillblade, in response to her comic called Crikey Duck, she asked is we would draw one of her main characters. I ended up drawing all three of them, but I personally liked the girl, Zakiya and how she came out enough to edit out her by herself.

That, and I was happy to draw a character holding a gun!

Specifics for the Con Artist Duck Trio. . .

Dimruthian Bloodsinger

This was done in the FurArtXchange Livejournal Community for Dimruthian. This is her Fursona, a white cat with a wolf's tail. There is a lot of nudity in her gallery *warning* that I took advantage of drawing her tastefully nude. No details, so I don't think anybody should get fussy over this one.

Specifics I was given to draw Dimruthian.

Name: Dimruthien BloodSinger (aka. Dimmie).
Sex: Female.
Species: Feline with a wolf tail.
Eyes: Light blue.
Hair/Headfur: Deep purple in colour. Straight and flows to her lower back.
Description: Short white fur all over her body with the exception of longer white fur on her wolf tail. Pink nose and inner ears. A blue triangle marking on her left cheek. Four turquoise stripes on each shoulder. Grey leopard rosettes on her rump, up her spine, and on the backs of her thighs.
Accessories: Silver ear piercings (3 or 4 in each ear). Clothing can be anything really. Go with what you feel like. Hell, draw her naked if you like! =p
Personality: Dimmie can be either very happy, excited, or bouncy or the total other end of the scale.. depending on the day. She's very snuggly and cuddly, especially towards cute animals (She owns three cats and two dogs). Likes candy, shinies, swords, snow leopards. Plays a night elf warrior in World of Warcraft. Has a big axe =p
Anything else we should know/Relevant information: Has a snow leopard mate with long straight black hair. Male, named Nekavi.
Reference Pictures:
Most recent picture.
Warning: Nudity and a nipple.

I had a lot of fun drawing her, and as always, here's my lineart.

Maximus

This is Max, a Hyena drawn for MistyStriker in the FurArtXchange LiveJournal Community. It was just a quick sketch I did but I tried something different, softening the lineart after I colored it to give it a softer look. Most of the time with a lot of these art Exchanges I try something different, just to get a feel for something new. But he still maintained my style. Which I like.

Because of the position I put him in, I was forced to put a background in. I think one of these upcoming art exchanges I'm going to force myself to focus on the background a little closer. Because I don't like how the background came out on this one.

Specifics and references I was given for drawing Max

And of course, as is my style, the lineart.

Patch by SpiketheGoddess

I just thought it would be funny if he threw a grenade and my bunny girl Momoiro went for it and brought it back saying "did you drop this?"

This was my first art trade I recieved from FurartXchange2 LJ community, done by SpiketheGoddess. It's my character Patch off of my webcomic Creature

Classic, that's totally something that Patch would do too. . . Unfortunately I haven't had a huge opportunity to explore him more in depth yet!

Coshka

This was the first official art exchange I recieved a description for in Fur ArtXchange Livejournal community. She actually proved difficult for me to do, I couldn't just knock her out like I did previous and future attempts. I also put her into a background setting as well, which is unusual for me, as I don't really do backgrounds to much.

This was done for Talbona.

These were the specifics I recieved for drawing her.

Trixi the Coon Vixen

This was my first art exchange through a furry art exchange that I volunteered to do for somebody else.

This was done for Trixi Vixen.

This was the specifics I recieved for drawing her, with no prior artwork to use as reference

I must say that I really liked how she came out, though she probably came out a bit more goth then the character is supposed to be.

Because I had no reference, I had to create my own non-anthro reference. This is what I came up with.

Here is the Lineart for the above drawn characters.

Mordeth

This is Mordeth, drawn for Corvox in the Fur Art Xchange2 LJ community. Yeah, I draw a lot of things for these communities, anything that will get me drawing again. And it gets me into another frame of mind as I try to get more creative with my drawing. It gets boring drawing the same characters over and over again.

Anyway, I tried something a bit different with Mordeth at first, I wanted to do an ink drawing of him and color that. It didn't turn out the way I wanted it too however.

Specifics for drawing Mordeth

Name: Mordeth
Sex: male
Species: spotted linsang
Eyes: black
Hair/Headfur: A little tear-shaped mop of black hair on his head. Flops down onto his face but does not recede below the nape of his neck
Description: Slim and limber like any respectable linsang, he is a lovely silver colour with black patterns following those of a spotted linsang. Linsangs are arboreal and pretty good hunters. They eat mostly birds and small rodents. Mordeth is a linsang anthro and walks digigrade. Linsangs have long, lithe bodies with a long tail, but Mordeth has proportions more like a human.
Accessories (clothing, jewelry, weapons, etc): He wears a collar with square, blue jewels set in it and tends to wear light, loose-fitting, simple clothes. He's not in the slightest body shy.
Personality: He's quite innocent and naive. He has a big heart and always thinks the best of people, which often gets him in trouble because he doesn't ever expect anyone to behave badly or try to exploit him. He benefits a lot from someone more street savvy keeping an eye on him.
Anything else we should know/Relevant information: He grew up alone in the forest, which is partially why he is so naive and trusting. He has no memories of his childhood and no one really knows why.
Reference Pictures: a series of very good spotted linsang pics
As usual, the lineart for both pieces below.
