Fisher the Dragon

Pencil Sketch colored in Photoshop - January 2008
Nothing to thrilling, just a character design that I quickly worked up, as I wanted to see how he would look as a dragon with this color style more then anything.

My next art with this character should be a little more exciting.

Splash On Fire

Sketch Colored in Photoshop - Spring 2007

More illustration photomanipulation goodness in Photoshop (again, this isn't really art). This doesn't really show much in the way of oohs and ahhs, but what I got from it was the technique in dealing with masks and layers. Its a different coloring technique then I usually use, and it works rather well when you change your mind about different colors.

Case in point, the pitch blackness I depicted above is actually the removal of the body color, which I can show in any color I want, such as different shades of grey or reds.

Ok, now we might be getting a little ridiculous.

On a Grulla Stallion

Sketch Colored in Photoshop - 2006

Is that Draco Malfoy riding a unicorn?

No it's not, dad nab it!

No, this is not art, it's illustration (and truthfully, one of my weak areas) but this was an image I did where I tried something different with the coloring and used masks instead of just layers.

As for the subject, well, this is an event I pictured in my head of a scene in one of my stories. The male character goes by Melvin (or perhaps Wyatt) at this stage, and the fact that he's in a business suit is another long story. The unicorn in question doesn't usually allow riders, but he'll make an exception for Melvin.

It's rather long and won't make much sense, so just enjoy the picture.

Fisher the Horse

Pencil colored in Photoshop - February 2008
So, this is Fisher the horse. I took an image of a horse and sketched out the lineart and went in and colored it, and this came out. Though it might be a bit wrong, because I think Fisher would actually be leggier then this.

Overall I like how it came out, better then earlier tries, but I think I'm going to go back in and do something else with the Background one of these days. It leaves something to be desired.

I think I'm going to try to do more computer photoshop manips in this manner.
